Two major agreements signed between Airbus and Turkey's TUSAŞ at the Paris Air Expo
At the 55th Paris Air Show in Le Bourget, Airbus and Turkish Aerospace (TUSAŞ) formalised the signing of two new major cooperation agreements.
- The first agreement entrusts TUSAŞ with the production of the rudder for the Airbus A320, one of the most widely used aircraft in civil aviation. This collaboration will enable the TUSAŞ plant in Kahramankazan (Ankara) to become one of the world’s most important sites for the manufacture of this strategic component.
- The second agreement covers the manufacture by TUSAŞ of metal parts for the future Airbus A350F cargo aircraft. The Turkish company will thus become the sole global supplier of these essential components, which will be fitted to all A350F aircraft produced worldwide.
Already a long-standing partner of major global aircraft manufacturers, TUSAŞ contributes to numerous key programmes: Airbus A220, A320, A330, A350, as well as Boeing 737, 767, 777 and 787 Dreamliner. Its teams produce critical components ranging from flaps and landing gear panels to fuselage structures and composite parts.
Thanks to its expertise in composite materials – lightweight, durable and environmentally friendly – TUSAŞ has established itself as a key player in the global supply chain and is actively shaping the future of aerospace.
This major industrial development was also closely monitored by Advantis Conseils Turquie whose representative Patrice Moyeuvre, General Officer in the French Air and Space Force, Director of Defence and Security Projects and researcher at IRIS, was present at the Paris Air Show to represent the company and meet with French players in the sector. The aim was to connect French companies with the dynamics and realities of the Turkish market in the defence, aeronautics and security sectors.
